I would not recommend a plastic surgeon to remove your lipoma. I've had my family doctor remove about 6 over the years and he used tiny incisions and they turned out great. Plastic Surgeons usually charge astronomical amounts and are usually no better if not worse than making the incision.
fyi...Insurance will cover it as long as you tell your doctor its causing discomfort.
